MSantiago: I would have voted you for President when you ran before because I saw you were a principled woman running the Bureau of Customs (if i remember the agency you head feistly, correctly). But where have your principles gone these days?
You, like Angara, all distinctly from University of the Philippines, I am ashamed of you 2, for defending a suspected, and many believe so, the Arroyo camp who are considered by many as tyrants, plunderers of Filipino wealth and sabotagers of the election and of Filipino future- using your senatorial clouts and perceived 'katusuhan', you are not using real intelligence for the benefit of the Filipino people.
You (senate and congress) were all sitting down, waiting which force will be stronger while my country was in the brink of chaos because the Arroyos demanded her midnight apppointed (in)justices to let her and her cohorts go out of the country!
Please do not give us pure technicalities as excuses for the Arroyos not face the crimes the people of the Philippines are clamoring that they be convicted. Please use your UP-trained brains and lawyering for the good of the people long been suffering because of corrupt officials!
Please do your job for the Filipino, all the Filipinos and not for the few who are plundering this country to poverty and chaos. Ang mga katulad ninyo ang nagbibigay kahihiyan sa ating bayan at nagiging dahilan upang tayo ay maging kaawa awa- subalit ang trabaho ninyo ay humanap ng paraan upang maging kagalang galang ang ating bayan at umunlad ang mamamayan. Instead of giving the alibis, excuses and technicalities to get away, help us, the Filipino people to find ways on how to get justice through the laws that you are making. I am sure, there is a way to make JUSTICE HAPPEN in my country, using your combined intelligence in the lower house and Senate, we can have JUSTICE IN THE PHILIPPINES. Please stop giving us technicalities because the Filipino people are talking about life, future, dignity, integrity. I am sure the Philippine constitution enshrines these virtues as well and every tunay na Filipino would like to see the Truth to come out and not be delayed by technicalities tuso lawyers are famous for..
Huwag po nating idaan sa katusuhan ang kapakanan at kinabukasan ng bayan na lalo pang naghihirap. Stop Na! Help us stop the corruption in this country! Stop the pagtatakipan!
That is why, Filipino people like me are clamoring for IMPEACHMENT of the midnight appointed justices of Arroyo! While technically, the Supreme Court is held in highest esteem, the conduct of the Justices appointed by Arroyo are disgraceful, dishonorable and created dis unity in my country. The coronarroyo court deliberately BULLIED the Executive branch into doing the “law” they created illegally because they did not even provided the venue for reasons why the Arroyos must stay in the country to be stated and clarified.
Common sense tells us that the Arroyos must stay. Common people, who did not study law nor studied in UP can tell that to the (in)justices faces. But they abused their power by passing the TRO without consultation from concerned branch of government while as clear as broad daylight everybody knows it is of utmost importance. The people of the Philippines, though poor, are not dumb. Ang ginawa ng Supreme Court ay paglapastangan sa Constitusyon ng Pilipinas! Paglapastangan sa karapatan ng mamamayan na madinig at maproteksyonan ang aming interes, and for that Senate and Congress, they must be made to answer. The SC has done a grave crime and injustice to the people of the Philippines, a grave abuse of power. They must be IMPEACHED IMMEDIATELY!
As a Filipino, I am not taking what the (in)justices did sitting down. They have to be punished before the people of the Philippine’s court. Please do not make excuses for them or for the Arroyos. National security is national interest. The insistence of the Arroyo camp manipulating the coronarroyo court to make them travel abroad almost caused chaos in the Philippine Republic, what else do you want, MSantiago? Do you think the decision of the Supreme court can prevent the Filipino people from taking further action against the Arroyo cohorts? As former legitimately elected president Estrada pointed out, Arroyo must stay in the country and face the charges filed against her.
I do sincerely hope, the Senate and the Congress, at this point of Philippine history, will create a monumental change and be remembered forever in our books as honorable elected officials who stood ground for the Filipino people. Kahit isang beses lang, ipakita naman po ninyo na pinaglalaban ninyo kaming mga nagluklok sa inyong mga pwesto, kaming mga kumakayod at nagbubuwis ng pawis at dugo dito at sa ibang bayan upang kayo ay mabigyan ng matataas na sahod at malalaking pork barrel.
Huwag naman ninyo hayaan na bastusin ang Kataas-taasang Hukuman ng mga Mahina-stradong ito na maliwanag pa sa araw na mga tuta ni Arroyo! Kalapastanganan po sa sambayanang Filipino ang kanilang ginawa! Huwag na po natin bigyan ng teknikal arguments, malinaw sa lahat, manipulation at pambabastos ang kanilang ginawa!
The Filipino like me can also see through Lagman who initiated the idea of impeaching Pres. Aquino and whoever flaunted the idea of constitutional crisis. The Arroyo camp is the one feigning constitutional crises, creating chaos in my country! These are cases of treason, tyranny, inciting chaos, in my country – AND they have a clear reason, they want to escape prosecution. They are not going to get away with these crimes! They are the ones who must be IMPEACHED! They must be punished to the full extent of the law!
So please, kung meron pa kayong malasakit sa aking bayan, tama na ang pagpapahirap sa mga mamamayang Filipino, LET JUSTICE BE SERVED AT ALL COST.

I agree with tamy commentator. gma's leaving the country will pose threat to public health. people who have been hoping and waiting a long time for justice to be served will be most affected. if gma is allowed to leave, they will become depressed, lost appetite and maybe lost weight as well, just like gma. those who suffered depression will tell you the sickness is debilitating, caused them to have low morale and their work and family life are affected too.

but unlike gma, most have no money to buy expensive medicines from overseas and they cannot afford specialist treatment from st lukes. but their local doctors might be able to provide them medical abstracts that said they have depression and must be treated soonest.

and so our government will be forced to spend more on public health as more and more people will seek treatment for depression.

I'm afraid of consequences of what samsara commentator implied. I hope we will not get to that point. for if we do, god have mercy on me, I might join the movement.
