Ampatuan Sr. arraignment set aside
MANILA, Philippines - The Pasay Regional Trial Court re-set anew the arraignment of former Maguindanao Governor Andal Ampatuan Sr. for electoral sabotage charges due to his medical condition.
A medical bulletin from the AFP Medical Hospital states that Ampatuan is suffering from pneumonia.
Branch 112 spokesperson Felma Domingo also noted that Ampatuan, who is also a respondent in the Maguindanao massacre case, is still in the intensive care unit of the government hospital.
The schedule for the arraignment has been re-scheduled to March 26. His lawyers believe the Ampatuan patriarch will finally appear by then.
This is the second time that the arraignment was set aside. – from a report by Sol Aragones, ABS-CBN News
