Bombo Radyo reporter shot dead in S. Cotabato

MANILA, Philippines – A driver-reporter of Bombo Radyo was shot dead in Koronadal City, South Cotabato on Monday morning, police said.

South Cotabato Police said Rommel Palma, 30, was inside a radio network-owned vehicle parked in front of the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital at around 5 a.m. when two motorcycle-riding men shot him.

Police said Palma was waiting for a fellow reporter who was gathering reports inside the hospital when the shooting occurred.

Police have yet to determine if Palma was the target of the shooting. An investigation into the incident was launched. – report from Edwin Sevidal, dzMM
