Leave now! PAGASA tells residents in flooded areas
Weather bureau PAGASA warns residents in flood-hit areas in Luzon to evacuate now. That's because PAGASA expects the new typhoon "Quiel" to make landfall tomorrow morning in the Cagayan-Isabela area and cause floodwaters to rise further in areas that Typhoon "Pedring" ravaged.
The weather bureau says even areas that are currently not flooded are in danger because water from flooded communities will eventually seep into neighboring areas. PAGASA says the amount of rain and the path of Typhoon “Quiel” are similar to those of “pedring”.
